| I'm wondering what you intend to weld. After 40 years + of burning rods and wire, I've long ago concluded 99% of all manufacturer advertising and specs for machines fit better in a manure spreader than they do on the machine.
Are you doing spec work with the LoHi rod, and maintaining it in an oven, or are you just using it out of spec?
I can assure you in a shop situation a MIG machine will be the first choice 90% of the time, once you get used to the machine. The 251 isn't a bad choice, unless you are planning to run a lot of heavy fabrication and buildup. | |
