Subject: RE: Poll: Better soybean pre... Cover crops or chemicals?

Marion County, IL.
My little test was where we had sweet corn last year, which usually turns into a weedy mess, right wrong whatever. All I know is right now with just a pass of roundup I have nothing showing in the rye. I still plan on post spraying them when I post the rest of the field, just to be safe. But so far what I am seeing is very promising. But, that is me, here. What works this year may not work next year. Every year is different and I assume that using these cover crops is just another thing that a person has to manage. Using them and understanding them is going to be a learning process just like every year is. Their will be things learned every year and new challenges. To each his own.
