| Pretty much had the same experience drying to roll rye after it was dead. First used our CIH / DMI crumbler. Hardly could tell where it had ran so I went back over it at the opposite angle. That got most of it down but not flat. We had made arrangements to rent a Summers roller on some other rye thinking it would do a bett job knocking down the rye, plus the added benifit of pushing roacks down. Roller worked on the rocks but had the same results in the rye as we did with the crumbler. We did have a couple small spots that the sprayer missed & I had come back later & sprayed. Thos spots ythe rye was still pretty green and went down nicely with one pass with both the crumbler & the roller. | |
