Tried my first planting into five to six foot rye this spring, looks awesome right now. I only did a small patch this year just to test the waters. Looking like I will be doing much more next year. It even got hammered with rain right after words, spots that had water standing last fall have beans in them now. Always heard and believed the benefits about the rye, just had to take that first step. I burned it down with Rup the day after planting with 15 inch planter. As long as it was thick I actually used a concrete lawn roller and got it knocked down and it stayed down. Anywhere where it wasn't good and thick it tried to stand up again a little. I wish I would have taken pictures.

I was curious how you terminated the rye. The beans look good. I think I will be switching to cereal rye next year. My annual rygrass has been a challenge this year.
