Montana | I am haying and grazing most all of my wheat this year and I was pleased to learn that some I cut very green but was showing signs of drought stress, had no nitrates. I think as long as I can hay or graze wheat very green, it will not have nitrate problems. Yes is is challenging to get it dry. It sure does smell good.
I imagine people who graze wheat or green chop it for forage have a lot of experience with this. | |
