![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=38702&type=profile&rnd=743) Southern Illinois | I have someone wanting to bale my wheat straw this year. I ran the numbers and my nutrient removal rates for P & K equate to about $2.00 for phosphate (converted to Triple Super) and $8.25 for potassium (converted to Pot-Ash). I am thinking another 2-3 bucks in micros (sulfur mainly) and then some profit as well. Around $16-$18/Ton. Does this sound reasonable to other NAT members? Am I too high? Am I too low? I also have some benefit on my end outside of the cash flow in that I always am able to raise better double crop beans without the heavy wheat straw residue on the ground. | |
