Subject: Cultivating strip til sugar beets

This year I have been questioning everything, mostly because the old timers that said"we've always done it this way", are broke, and they get on my nerves.

So my question is, why should I cultivate my strip tilled sugar beets, I know that when you bust centers the water is supposed to go in better, but that doesn't seem to be a problem this year. The second argument is that it helps your harvest equipment track better, but all our harvest equipment is gps guidance.

Thoughts?
