Panhandle of Ne.
Mutt, have a few questions about your 680. Have been told that they can be more of a problem than the 670, one of the reasons stated is that the 680 has 2 hyd pumps because it is both a closed and open hyd system, IDK. We leased one several years ago, engine blew up on the first one on the first round through the field, had around 300 engine hours. Second one they brought us worked OK the rest of the season. Now, thinking about a long term lease on one, can get enough warranty to cover the engine but worried about the hydraulics. Was also told that there was an issue with the first ones with several electronic controllers that were mounted to where rain could get in them and fry them. This person told me that JD fix for this was to put a piece of plastic to cover said controllers. Any thoughts you might have would be appreciated. We grow mostly corn with a little wheat. BTW, very nice pics.

Forgot to ask what year model your combine is and how many sep hours? The one we are looking at is a '12 with 600 sep hours, thanks. My email is good if you want to reply that way.
