Depends on what your washing. I don't always want the most gpm for washing something because it gets too wet. I sometimes use my powerwasher to blast the cobwebs off the walls in the polebarn and overhead door and to do around and under the benches once a year and you don't want to "drench" everything with gallons of water. It's nice just to use the pressure and essentially the air and water to blast off the dust and gunk without drowning the item with water. Everything gets clean and dries off much quicker.
