Missouri | I've heard this before. I've heard it enough times, from enough people, that I *DO* believe what you are saying, but I've not been able to duplicate that issue. I've seen more consistent depth, more consistent germination, and more consistent emergence with them than without them.
My only beef with them is price. A whole assembly, I believe is fairly priced, but if you run it long enough to wear down the firmer tail, replacing only the tail (the only wear part) costs nearly as much as a whole new assembly.
