SW Iowa | Damp soil sticks to them and then they will push seed together and even out of the trench. If you farm near any wet places, wet seeps, wet terrace channels, they will give you significant problems.. I had em on a planter I purchased that had them already installed with a big sales pitch on how great they were for enhancing seed-soil contact, and believe you me, they were off before the second season started. Just another gimmick for you to spend your money on. | |
