Subject: RE: Volume is Always better then Pressure ~

central - east central Minnesota -

Jeffery - 6/10/2016 18:59 Need one for the house, cars, walks and stuff. What is more important, pressure or flow? Looking at a 2500psi 3gpm, or a 2700psi 2.5gpm. Which one is better? Can I even get 3gpm out of my house plumbing?

Gallons per Minute (volume) is far more important the pressure . . . .. as a few others have pointed out.

Pressure is hard on paint, seals, bearings and can blow holes in radiators and your skin . .  .. .

I have 15 gals minute out of a hydrant - pressure tank set at 60 and 75 shut off. That's almost enough to "pressure" wash most anything I need cleaned.

Hot water makes a huge difference also. A 1200 psi 5 gal per minute hot water machine will clean the heck out of machinery. Volume of water is always better then pressure.
