When I have welded rims with a crack part of the way around the rim I assume faulty weld all the way around and thus run the complete circumference with 7018 or 7014 rod depending on which welder I have available, DC or AC respectively. As always, tire is off the rim.
+1 on the 7018. I would not use my MIG for a weld like this...
Can this rim be welded?
