SW Ohio | Von, we did the 8000 acre overhaul on this 750 a couple years ago, decided to make all the changes at that time, I would not go back on any of them, new blades, fixed the boot holes, new boots, v-8 firmers, RID depth, Dawn closers. Actually did a few of the v-8's before then and it just made sense that the wheels job was to firm the seed in the trench much like a Keeton which the originals never did. See a lot less seed on top of the ground with this change, emergence is more even.
If you saw the original thread with this picture and are wondering how planting too wet turned out, it reinforces my belief that you can plant corn on the iffy wet side but never try beans..... | |
