Mount Vernon, WA | Working on a JD 4755 PS with low power. Dynos at 145 HP, rated at 175. Fuel pressure and turbo boost check out, engine sounds fine mechanically. Suspect an injection pump calibration and/or aneroid issue.
In looking at the parts manual, it would appear that someone may have installed the wrong JD reman pump on it at one point in the past. Tractor has the 6076ARW06 engine, serial number 129882, and it has a Bosch reman pump on it (JD part # SE500439). According to the parts catalog, it looks like the Nippondenso pump was original equipment, and the Denso pump shows as a separate reman part number.
Can there be that much difference between the two pumps, or am I barking up the wrong tree? | |
