Do I need to be at a moving start instead of stopped? Is it a case of the shaft not fully dis-engaging? and filling the seed cups? Thanks in Advance

Yes you need to be moving. Some seed drops into the tubes as the openers are raising and gets trapped. All of it comes out at once when you set them back down. Dropping them while moving spreads them out a little. We never stop when we turn around but we see this when we stop for some reason in the field. If you don't back up before starting out you also get a blank place with no seeds in addition to a bunch of them where you start out.
