West Tennessee | I'm certainly no expert but we've had issues in the past where we killed ryegrass after planting beans. It's as if something about the dying ryegrass poisoned the beans. I think I read somewhere once about something released from the dying ryegrass. It doesn't happen all the time but we've seen it before in spots where we had live ryegrass and then killed it after planting. I know people do it all the time and it works great but I'm leary of it because of past experiences. I'm also talking about annual ryegrass (what we deal with volunteer) vs. cereal rye. Maybe two different things IDK. My two cents. | |
