| sounds like a normal day for me. All of the listed above problems are a very deciding factor why we got out of hogs. Got the mixer out the other day to crack corn for the butchering stock. Took four hours to grind 70 bushel. Had a bearing go out on the loading auger and I used a five gallon bucket and had loaded it in the mixer. Them the unloading auger plugged right away when I tried unloading it. So I had to reduce the flow to a snail crawl. Boy I am glad the days of grinding feed for hogs is over. I would go to school all day come home and grind anywhere from 4 to 13 loads of feed a night. Did this so dad didn't have to when he got back in from the field. | |
