lizton IN | I have welded up some rims on tractors before. I think you should be OK. Dismount tire clean up the crack and V it out some. I wouldn't weld it all up at one time. Weld an inch or two skip an inch or two on the first pass. Then let it cool and come back in and fill up the skips on the second pass.
Now when you are welding if things don't look right stop. When you are done look around your weld and make sure there are no small cracks coming out from you welds. I don't think there should be but always a good idea to check.
