Subject: RE: 6620 TITan II Radiator cleaning....

fredericksburg, va
Mine would run warm if I didn't clean it every few days. But would cool down quickly if you stopped thrashing. Finally decided to replace water pump figured housing was wore. Aftr putting new one on decided to pull old one apart. Turns out some one had rebuilt the old one and had the impeller to far away from the housing. it wasn't moving enough water to cool. Anyway-- the best way to clean radiator and I did it often for about 5 years was to swing out ac and oil coolers and use hot water high pressure washer WITHOUT the wand. get a welder glove and hold the water hose about 1 to 2" from the radiator-- you will get wet and hot and it ain't a 5 min job.the heat and the volume of water together seemed to clean it the best.
