What size tire on the tractor front now? If you ever wanna go to 30 inch row you might want narrower tires to make the tractor turn shorter. Had the same problem with our older Deere . When it was new it was set for 36inch rows. Wheels cracked just like yours . Decided it was a good time to go to a narrower tire to aide in turning shorter. We went with the new waffle rims and narrower tires
