The most water the drain ever runs is still less than 1 cfs of ground water and the 15" line is more than adequate to carry the irrigation runoff from the other fields. Which 80% of is ours

These drains were all dug, i think, back in the 1930s & 40s when the upper water irrigation came into the valley. That caused the water table to rise on the flat ground bringing with it a bad alkai issue forcing some ground out of production for several years till the drainage districts were formed.

Everything we did was approved by the appropriate people
