Subject: RE: Crop rotation?

Mid-Michigan
We have a three crop rotation. Wheat follow soys. Soys follow corn. For me it breaks up the work. It gives me a chance to soil test and pick stones. It allows me to lime. It allows me to apply manure. It allows me to plant radishes and clover.. It gives me a chance to get potash on without hurting my ground. We don't have weird bug or fungus problems from planting the same thing for 20 years. It allows me to drastically change weed chemistry to avoid resistance. It's hard to make money with wheat until you look at some of the other benefits. We raise soft white wheat and count on 85-110/acre. Good luck.
