North Central Illinois | It depends greatly upon where you live and what the hybrid is. If you have a hybrid with a tremendous amount of flex and you are prone to late summer heat and dryness I would think the 20,000 on May 1st would out yield the 30,000 on June 1st. If you live somewhere that generally has adequate mid to late summer rainfall, moderate temps, and you planted a hybrid that doesn't flex much, the 30,000 will smoke the 20,000 provided you don't have an early frost. | |
