Lots of things could happen.

Had that happen a few yrs ago. Ended up inter seeding part of the field cus we had some beans left. Final stand of inter seeding was 115-120000 with plants that made it.
Left the other part. 80-90000

Looked like I should have done the whole field all summer. Second guessing every time it was looked at.

Harvest.

The untouched was was a almost 3 bu better. Shorter beans to harvest. But were loaded up Xmas trees.

The plants that inter seeded into I think wasted a lot of nutrients trying to get taller then the new seeded beans.

Only problem I really saw was where there was gaps of beans that didn't make it there was more weed pressure. 16-24 inch gaps.
