Subject: RE: Precision Planting products questions

Macon, IL
I don't have much of a reference as I have only been farming a couple years-but I rebuilt a planter last years and used their meters and bullseye tubes. When I compare them to the spacing of my neighbors they are as good as any-and at the risk of sounding arrogant better than most. And that if off an old JD7000 planter.

That being said if you don't have the rest of the planter in good shape (good openers for proper depth, smooth running chains, etc.) they are not going to solve your problems.

But in my opinion if you want great spacing I think they are awesome!!

Should also mention I planted pretty slow 4-4.5mph, as that is where I had them calibrated. You may want to check with some others if you plant faster to see if there is something better for higher speed.
