Subject: RE: Stripper Head

Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND
We have a couple of Shelbourne dealers in the area, but they stock very few parts because of so few Shelbourne headers in the area. The main parts outfit in Colby Kansas has been very good about getting parts to us in 1 or 2 days tops. We do stock our own supply of smaller wear parts that would put you down for a day or 2 in harvest.
I was looking over the AGCO combine offerings for 07 and did not see the AGCO stripper listed. Did I miss it,or has it been dropped ? I would also like to see an AGCO stripper work to compare it to a Shelbourne. Also I wonder about parts prices between the two brands?
Shelbourne headers are great quality, but parts are not cheap. After this harvest I replaced the plastic stripper teeth and metal stripper plates on my 24 ft CX 72 as they were worn out. Parts cost was just a few $$ less than $5000 :(
