Subject: RE: Green corn in killed Rye and off color on Bean stubble

Callao, Missouri
I'm betting it's because the corn is growing harder to clear the rye canopy---pull a couple plants from the rye vs bean stubble...I bet the bean stubble plants have better roots, and the rye corn has more top growth.

Also could be a difference in water movement between the two areas.

Why was the rye planted in some areas but not all? That history might affect it as well.
