Wow, if I was putting on that much N I'd sure have a yield goal higher than 120. Why do you need that much N for those yields?
Corn is so new up here that we don't know what we need. What we need most of is more rain in late July most years. I put a good shot of N on to make sure I'm not short even if I don't apply any more N. Our residual N at less than 20 lbs per acre. Just trying to push yields towards the 150 area if the moisture cooperates. But at 1.2 lb per bu im right at the rate for sub 120 corn. 2.5-3%organic matter.
