a 7000 is not a no-till planter. BS..... been doing just that for 36 years with a 7000, it is not stock now but not far from it, no coulter.


As you said, Its not stock now.............glad you made the decision to no-till and figured out how to make it work... and it wasn't by pulling in a field with a (stock) 7000 year after year.....
actually did just pull into field with it the first two years, as is.

yeah lots of things change and improvements are made, but the way it was delivered from dealer in 1980 was the way it no-tilled for the first two years, first change was to bubble coulters, few more years, few more changes, right now as it sits the only non stock items are....air bags instead of springs for downpressure, PP components in the meters and tubes, trash cleaners, spike closers, weights on the markers.
