Subject: nitrogen loss

We had the local elevator spray weed and feed on our corn after planting this spring. They apply 20 gallons of 28% nitrogen with the chemicals. My concern or question has always been how much of this 60# of nitrogen may be lost if it doesn't rain for two weeks after application. With temperature's around 90 for the past few days I can't help but think that some of this surface applied nitrogen may be lost. Maybe I'm all wrong with this thought.
