Looks great, much easier and less expensive that what I was going to do. Couple questions? What is a "kencove water gate controller" and what does it do? Does it disconnect when water comes up so as not to short out the rest of the fence? Also maybe I didn't read everything correctly but you mention conduit and the pvc pipe. Did you run the drop cable through metal conduit and then the pvc over the conduit. Thanks for posting I think a lot of us will be using this plan.
Yes. The water gate controller cuts out the power to the water gate when it shorts out so the rest of it stays hot.

I made the 5/32 cable into loops and crimped it on the top side and then used the metal conduit to space the drops so they would stay spaced apart evenly.
The pvc is slid over the 5/32 drops to keep the cables straight and from twisting around each other. The pvc is held on by drilling a hole in a 3/4" pvc cape and then putting a crimp sleeve on the cable to hold it up. |
