| This is my first year trying cross-fences, but I just went with the cheapest possible solution because when it floods here, all these cross fences are going to get ripped out unless I get the wires cut and rolled up quick before the water comes up.
First I used the creek as a natural fence because it's too deep here for them to want to cross unless they need to.
The second wire had to go over the creek, so I just strung a piece of aluminum wire across loose from post to post so they don't walk under the main wire. It's not attached to the main wire at all and should just slip right off one of the fiberglass posts if something grabs it and not take down the main wire.
"Make it as simple as possible, but no simpler than that" is my plan :)
Edit: I guess you might be talking about actual boundary fences instead of just cross fences, if so, nevermind :)
