Madison Co. Virginia		I've never heard about that. A few miles of the trail were closed for a week because of active wildfires, but they're open now. Also, I've been following the blog of a guy who is less than a week from finishing a complete hike, and he's reported no closures.

I seriously doubt it ever will be closed.
