I put mine where I'd like some animal impact. Usually at the top of a hill to carry fertility uphill or in a thistle patch. All that stomping helps set back the fescue and promote clover. I'm shifting cows twice a week, but I move the tub whenever it's low. Try to place it somewhere I'm going past already so I don't forget (:
