Floyd County, Iowa | I've had it, too.
Few years ago, I had a steady pressure building up in my chest, right in the center, at the base of the sternum. Felt like I got sucker punched. Pain just kept getting worse. My whole neck started to ache. I was bent over holding my midsection, sweating like a boxer, when my wife came in.
She took me to ER. Their first thought (as well as ours), was ticker trouble. They drew blood, did EGK, and a whole bunch of other stuff that I don't recall, because there were about 5 of them doing something to me at the same time.
Finally a nurse came in with a glass of something and told me to drink it. He called it a GI Slider. Basically a high powered antacid. Immediate relief.
Diagnosis- acid reflux.
Changed my eating habits and no more trouble unless I do something stupid like too many tomatoes, too much salsa, any orange juice, etc. | |
