Well you can quit if you really want to bad enough. I smoked for over 20 years and I managed to quit and it was one of the smartest things I have ever done. I have been off of tobacco now for 35 years. I would probably not be on the green side of the grass if I had continued to smoke.
Get some help and try some of the products on the now to help you stop smoking. But the biggest trick is to just make up your mind that you are going to quit and then do it. The first month or two you really need to keep busy to fight off the urge to light up again, but it does eventually go away. It is mind over matter. Then you will get to hate the smell of cigarettes or cigars.
