I would talk to your Mother and suggest inviting them. Then lots can happen. They don't show. You can't be accused of leaving them out. If they do show your Mother can make it known to all she hasn't seen so and so ( no show for a year bro ) since your dads funeral. She could suggest the once/a/month show bro do SOMETHING to help her around her house , for all to hear.
