Actually got some spots in my grain wheat that I was combining today that look about like that. These fields were pasture just a couple years ago and the weed pressure is intense over winter. Combined a couple fields that should have been cut for hay but the rain wouldn't cooperate. They got nitrate flown on, but no fungicide at flowering. Moisture was about 16%.
This afternoon I moved over to the next patch that did get fungicide and cut a couple rounds to finish filling the combine hopper. 22% moisture!! Now I have to get all that put somewhere with good aeration first thing in the morning.
I guess I am not that close to combining all my wheat. | |
