Arkansas delta | My dad passed away Saturday at the age of 76. He was no ordinary 76 year old man. In fact, he was very extraordinary. He worked from daylight to past dark most days farming and leveling land on his 9520 with his 2 JD 18 yds. He was so dedicated to harvest that he talked my mom into going to Maine to see Fall foliage in August so he didn't miss out on running the combine here (it took me awhile to figure that one out...).
Rainy days were spent hooking Bass.
This video was made in 2012 by my daughter who is an investigative reporter for KARK in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was asked to do a story on someone she was inspired by. She chose her grandpa, my dad. This video speaks for itself as to the man my dad was. I feel so blessed to have had him as my dad and to have been able to work with him all my life. Gonna be some tough shoes to fill....
