| Most guys here try to be decent but the bills can be big. I asked about moving a power pole few years ago. $15,000 per pole was the quote. Needles to say it didn't get moved. This year we were cleaning up that building site when a big cottonwood got caught by the wind and took out the line. The guys cam out to fix it and told me here is the deal. You discontinue service, we turn it in as a tree fell on the line and we all go home. If you want service we will bill (the customer} for an emergency call out plus all the repairs. I thought it odd they did not even want the contractor info. He did offer to pay. | |
