Keeping your mouth shut and busting your tail in and out of practice is the best thing to do. If you want it then you have to earn it.
I got passed up for playtime on the football field right up to my senior year in HS. I ran 4.5 miles a day (around the section and back down the driveway), lifted twice a day, and worked 2 manual labor jobs a day the whole summer before my senior year. I came into fall camp hungry for my spot. The coaching staff and the rest of the team knew I was there for business. That year we went undefeated all the way to the state semi finals game.
The coaches will find out sooner or later who's there for business and who's going to make plays when it counts. | |
