red river valley se of fargo | In my neck of the woods an untouched cornstalk field is often absolutely unfarmable in the spring. Fields that don't get fall tillage are often burned in the spring. On several different occasions we would have an abnormally dry spell during the spring and someone will pull out their ripper. It's usually a pretty big deal with all the gossips, and I've seen some total nightmare seedbeds but it usually turns out at least ok if not pretty good. |
