west central Iowa | Is there any way to counteract the politics of who gets to start and play in high school sports. Basketball was bad enough last winter, but it looks like baseball will be worse. The coach kept telling our son, whos a junior, he had a shot at a starting position, but now a freshman that can't hit to save his life is getting the spot. I hate to see him quit, but he wants to and I'm about ready to let him, it's got to be hard to ride the bench and watch the others strike out. Anyway thanks for letting me vent. | |
