Many billions of people have excellent morals and never heard of the god Jesus.
If people only listened to the bible they would not have a good moral code.
Look at all the believers who thought (and some still do) that slavery is Ok as noted in the bible.
Good people realize that it is wrong and therefore against their moral code to own another person against what the 'christian faith' calls for in its book.
