Kentucky | If the freeze damaged the wheat, the heads should be dead or have bleached dead spikelets on portions of the head. If the head has a "kink" in it, that can be genetic and weather related and shouldn't affect the yield. Some varieties are prone to have the tip of the head hang on the flag leaf collar on some years. They will look funny, but will be okay. I don't remember the name of this condition, but had a Pioneer variety that frequently did this some years ago. | |
