Illinois
As others have said, you do not need the MCR's if your goal is to only share coverage maps and guidance lines, in this case you could use the MTG's on the tractor, but they need to have activated JDLink Connect subscriptions.

MCR (Machine Communication Radio) – A stand-alone radio that connects to the 2630 and the machine. This can be used for Coverage Map / Guidance Line sharing AND for Machine Automation, i.e. Combine controlling Tractor

MTG (Modular Telematics Gateway) – AKA the JDLink Modem. This unit now has the ability to be used for Coverage Map / Guidance Line sharing for Tractors, Planters, Combines, and Sprayers while they are in the same field. The MTG does not have the ability to perform Machine control, i.e. Combine cannot control a Tractor during harvest.

Requirements:
Machine Sync with MTG
3G MTG + JDLink Connect subscription + Machine Sync Activation + GS3 2630 w/ 16-1 software + SF 3000 + Ethernet cable (will depend on tractor year and model)

Machine Sync with MCR
MCR Controller + Machine Sync Activation + GS3 2630 w/ 15-1 software + SF 3000 + Ethernet cable
