Subject: Planting corn into rye cover crop

SC IA
I'm thinking about having some rye flown on this fall on a farm. My plan was to see how the emergence turns out and possibly cut for grain if it looks good but if I don't get a great stand I will probably spray and would like to plant corn so I don't have beans for a third year. We did this one year but can't remember if not getting it killed soon enough caused some issues. I know a lot of people say if you do this it takes some more management. Anybody have any suggestions?
