Subject: RE: PSA powerlines

east central ND
Many years ago guy a few miles away sent the older hired man to the field with the new large chisel plow. Tore a "low" wire down, did not notice it. Power company came out & fixed it. The hired man tore it down again on the way home. Saw it and reported it this time. Power company came out and raised the line from I think 16' up to the 18' or so mark. Why they did not raise it the first time I do not know. No bill cause it was lower than it was supposed to be for crossing the road, I was told.

Then there was the time I had a used bin moved. Power company shut the power off to the small town just down the line as the bin mover approached the line in question. I did not get a bill because the 27' diameter bin (mover tips the bin on its side with his hydraulic tilt trailer) just made it under the line without having to cut it. I was expecting a large bill, so was very appreciative.
