Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums.
I planted 25 acres in a solid 18" pattern. Mine look pretty much like the ones in the picture. Problem is that half the turnip is above ground. I keep meaning to take pictures for you guys. Other problem in eastern VA is that they don't winterkill so good. Mine are only slightly burned right now. It only gets below 20 occasionally. I don't mind spraying them down in spring anyway. They taste real good. I have several neighbors eating the tops for greens and everyone likes the roots better than the purple top globes. My wife is from town an doesn't eat them. So guess who else doesn't get any....
